Donny And Marie Osmond Ask Fans For Prayers After Brother Jimmy Osmond’s Stroke

Jimmy Osmond, the youngest sibling from the famous Osmond family, suffered a stroke during a performance of Peter Pan in Birmingham, England,. The 55-year-old was playing Captain Hook and was able to finish the show before being rushed to the hospital. Jimmy Osmond’s representative stated that he pushed through the performance, but was later diagnosed with a stroke. Osmond also suffered a stroke in 2004 that was caused by a hole in his heart that didn’t close after birth.

Jimmy Osmond enjoyed success as a solo artist and as a member of the American sibling group the Osmonds throughout the ’70s.  On Tuesday, brother Donny Osmond shared a photo of him with Jimmy on Twitter and asked for prayers. Sister Marie Osmond also shared the news and asked for prayers via Twitter on Monday. 

Marie scored multiple country hits in the ’80s, including “Meet Me in Montana” with Dan Seals. In 2011 she and Donny released an album to country music called Donny and Marie. 

Jimmy Osmond’s music was most successful in Europe and Japan. He is married with four kids.
